More JS Deep Red
Pictures sent in (November 2017) by Jim Tomaselli from Shorewood, Illinois of his Pearl Maple drum set. Awesome work Jim! [fblike]
I purchased an older early 1980’s Pearl Maple shell pack from a friend last year. They had great sound, but the original black wraps were buckling and super scratched. A kit that sounded this good needed to match in appearance. I researched wraps for the shells, and Jammin Sam was the top of the list. Sam himself was super helpful, knowledgeable, and very detail oriented. He helped me understand exactly how to put the wraps on. I went with a DEEP RED solid, which resembles Rush Drummer Neil Pearts’ older kit. (I’m a big fan). In the end, the drums turned out extremely well!
Whats really cool about this wrap is in Natural light, they have a Deep “wine” color to them. When I turned on all White LED PARS, they turned a brighter Red. ( probably in sunshine as well). What really freaked me out is when I went to Green or Blue LED Pars, they turned to a BLACK color! (hey wait, isn’t that the color I just departed from?????). On Stage, and in my studio, I have a programmed light show. The drums look amazing as they morph under changing light schemes. they almost look to be moving under different light colors. I can tell you this… Sam uses the BEST materials, and will assist you to the end until you’re as excited as I am!!!!
Thanks, Jim Tomaselli
Send us photos of your drums with our wrap so we can include them here! More information here.
