Ask them if gluing is the best way to protect and keep the value of your shells?  or,  Is it just a way to adhere their material to your drums?

Our answer:
Many sellers of drum wrap don”t care about your drum shells, or how your shells will fair later on “down the road” from their
glue.  If wrap needs to be replaced later, or a color change is desired (some sets are re-wrapped on a daily basis), it is best not to glue
them.  There is no added benefit for the use of glue.  Damage can result even on drums made in the United States when individuals use contact cement or other glues, when wrap is later removed, pieces of wood often come up, especially when our removal procedures are not followed
