I’m now a proud owner of a jammin sams wrap kit. I’ve rewrap a older pearl drum kit, that was bought used and in rough condition. With help I recieved from Jammin Sams and his wrap kit I was able to put new life back into an older kit. I’ve recieved complaments on how good the kit looks now.
The wrapping part was very easy for me.I was able to do the job by myself, the old wrap had already been removed when I got the kit so the hard part was already done for me! I just had to claen and prepair the shells for wrapping.once that was finished I started the wrap per the instructions that come with the wrap kit.The video from the store site was very helpfull in preparing me for the task of rewrapping a drum.I was able to finish the wrap in about two days, waiting for the shells to air out after using cleaning chemicals and the wait for the high bond tape to cure, Was the lengthy part of the process, the actual wrapping part went quickly the assembly took some time didn’t want any damage done in this process.
The ONLY PROBLEM I’ve had is I’ve switched to a better head and as in the instructions and the video,I’ve had to do the last resort and trim the overlap off on one of the drums. The other head WOULD NOT GO ON THE SHELL. Had to replace the tension rods the lug inserts and trim off the over lap on one drum to get the to seat correctly.
I’m very happy with my new wrap on my kit, I’ve told everyone where I got the wrap kit from Jammin Sams. I’ve also updated the bass drum spurs and hoops, and the tom tubes.
I’ve takin diamond in the rought and made it a gem. Thanks you sam for a great store for drummers.
Sincerly Mark F. Whitlow, Mr. Pearl
